How To Reset Password In Windows 10

In modern era computer is a very important tool. In windows computers if we forget our password its so much painful to lose data and reinstall windows. So, we will see how to reset password on windows 10 pc.

There is two ways to do this hack. One with the windows 10 bootable drive and other is without any bootable drive. In this article we will discuss how we can do It without any bootable drive.

How To Reset Password In Windows 10

To reset Windows password, we need CMD in the login screen. But usually, we don’t have CMD in login screen of windows. So, we need to go to repair mode first. For achieving repair mode without a bootable drive, we need to do a little trick here. First, we need to restart the computer, while in booting screen we have to power it of manually.

After doing it for several times. It should lead us to the repair mode of Windows 10.

Here we have to click the “Advanced Option”.

After clicking  “Advanced Option” we get the Advanced menu for repair.

Here We have to choose Troubleshoot.

Then we get these two options but we have to choose the “Advanced Option”.

In Advanced options we have “See more recovery options”. We have to click  it and this will show the “System Image Recovery”

We have to choose This “System Image Recovery” then it will take us to System image backup menu.

Then hit cancel and hit “Next”. Now select Advance Option. Then it will show a popup then select “Install a Driver”

 

Then it will ask to get an installation disk or media. Simply click okay then file explorer will be opened. Then we have to go to the out system drive which is C Drive and inside “Windows” folder we have another folder called “System32“. We Have to enter the “System 32” folder. Then inside we will find the program called “Magnify“. Then we have to rename it to any other name.

Then in the same folder we also get “cmd”. We need to rename “cmd” to “Magnify”.  The We have to close the window and get back to continue to Windows 10.

 

After booting up we can see our windows login screen. In the right corner of the screen we can see the “ease of access” menu button. After clicking that button we get the available “ease of access” programs. Then select Magnifier.

We need the “cmd” here and we have already altered “Magnify” with “cmd” so when we select “Magnifier” it will open “cmd’.  When “cmd” is opened we have to type. “ net user “

In Net user it will show the user accounts of your windows 10 pc.

Then You have to type “ net user <Your user name> * “. In my case its “Lenovo” .

Then It will ask for enter password for the user. Its actually asking for new password for the user to set.

You don’t need to give any password, you can just press enter to skip, and it will ask to re-type the password you jus press enter again.

Then it is done. You will see your command completed successfully. That’s it your windows 10 password has been reset successfully.
